Last week Travis went to a convention for neuroscientists (I know, sounds like the beginning of a lame joke) in downtown DC, and he had the time of his life! Apparently there were over 30,000 people in attendance. Gather all those neuroscientists together in one room, and, well [insert punchline here]. I have no idea what kinds of things people have to give away at something like this (or why), but each day he came home with a pile of loot! Free science stuff? Travis was all over that one. I have taught him well in my ways of thrift. He was so excited, he heaped his treasures on the couch to show me everything. In his own words,
"It's like trick-or-treating, for scientists!"

I remember Matt coming home from conventions like these. You can never have too many free pens.

It truly is like trick-or-treating for scientists!!! There is nothing like free science stuff. One year I brought Marisa home a cute little mouse keychain. It even came in a cool metal box. Yeah, for some reason she doesn't use it...can't figure out why. But I clicked on your picture to see what cool stuff you had obtained and saw your totally awesome brain pen! That is sweet. I'm sure Krista will love the brain slice calendar, Marisa was "thrilled" with ours, so we kept it up for the whole year.
