Kate-isms

Here are a few Kate-isms of the day. (These were all from today)

SCENE: Kate & I are wiping down the dining room table & chairs.
KATE: Oh my goodness, Mommy! CRUMBS! Daddy, not do it!
("not" = "don't" - Apparently she pinned this one on Daddy)

SCENE: Target. Kate holds up two bottles of nail polish.
KATE: Mommy, want this one or this one?
ME: Um, I don't think we need either of those.
KATE: Okay, whatever, Mom.
(yes my 2-year-old "whatever"ed me.)

SCENE: On the way home.
KATE: Let's go home! And... probably eat a treat.
(Um... "probably" NOT!)

ME: Hey look, apples are on sale for $.69 a lb.!
KATE: Really? *thoughtful pause* That's weird.

She 'whatever'ed you! That's so cute. I told Sterling these and he gave me this look and asked "how old is she now?!" Aw, they grow up so fast. (Not that I would know since mine is still only 3 months old)

It's like the song your country song says: you're gonna miss this!

Or maybe not - as you'll probably have it for the next 16 years....

Thanks for the Kate-isms - they are SO cute! Store up all these memories and enjoy the journey, because, indeed - you're gonna miss this!

That is hilarious. Good job, Kate.
Cute picture at the top of your blog too. You're creative.

I'd love to take the credit, but my friend made that picture for me!

I can't believe how much Kate is talking!! When we moved, she was talking, but not that much! Oh, I'm sad to miss it!

Hi Krista and Travis! This is Liz Agle, formerly a member of the infamous college 4th ward. :) I was just blog surfing and found my way to your blog. Cute family! Great Halloween music. Fun stories. Where are you living these days? I ask because of the Trader Joe's balloons. We love Trader Joe's! Oh, and I'm also wondering if Tim has a blog (my dad likes to keep up with his missionaries if they have the means and I wouldn't mind seeing what he's up to either)? :)

We are doing fantastic. We live in San Diego and are loving every minute of it - the sun, the surf, the palm trees! No, I'm not rubbing it in, huh uh. :) Right now Prop 8 rules the day, as does the presidential elections. Beyond that...well, I really can't think beyond that. I can't wait for Nov. 4th to come and go...hopefully with favorable results for Prop 8. Thanks for saying hi! I hope you don't mind if I add your blog to my link list. I love keeping in touch with people! Oh, and give my congratulations to Tim on his upcoming nuptials. That's exciting. And I'm sure you're right...that he'll have a blog after he's married. It seems to be the Mormon mom/wife thing to do. :)
