Man's best friends...

So remember the goldfish from Kate's birthday? Well they appear to have fallen in love with my husband. These are not regular goldfish after all; they are like puppies in fish form. Every time someone approaches the plastic container they live in right now, they swim at you with all their might, opening their little fishy mouths at you. I promise they aren't starving either; they just love to be fed, I guess! Wherever you move as long as they can see you, they swim toward you and hover there, trying to get as close as possible. We watched this phenomenon over several days and Travis finally took a video.

Eventually it occurred to us that... maybe WE'RE the goldfish... The fish just watch us from their clear little home and we are their entertainment. "Hey Mack swim over here, the red one is back! No wait, it's moving over here! Move over, I want to see! Hey here comes the shrill little loud one!..."

PS Please ignore the murky water - we DO take care of them; Travis changes the water literally EVERY day. These are really high-maintenance pets. (Look at me, complaining about high-maintenance goldfish. When you will notice I said TRAVIS changes the water every day! Sorry, I'm just not at the having-lots-of-time-to-spend-caring-for-pets stage of my life right now!)

This is hilarious! What funny fish! When I turned on my speaker to listen to the video, this is the song I heard - "At last, my love has come along..." I thought it was the movie soundtrack until the video stopped and the song kept going! Too funny! They really are in love with Travis.

We had some fish like that once. We actually taught them to eat out of our fingers. It really wasn't that hard. Ofcourse now, I'm not so sure that I would want to hand feed goldfish!

So I know it is way late, but I'm finally adding your blog to my list. I'm so sorry it's taken so long. Usually I don't have much time to blog, hence the few and far between posts. I love the family picture you couldn't wait to post. And your girls are both adorable! I can't believe you've had two babies... you look great! As always!
