It's always fun when grandparents come...

My parents and my youngest brother Ryan came to visit last week for the first time since we've lived here. Kate hadn't seen them since her first birthday last summer, and they'd never met Brooklyn! What can we do? Hong Kong is far away! The girls quickly warmed up to "Grandpa Arvid" and "Mu Sipu" (there's a story behind that name for my mom, but in short, it means "White Grandma" in Tuleguya... I know Trav - I slaughtered that). That is to say, Brooklyn was happy to be held 24/7 by anyone but Kate was a little wary of Grandpa Arvid throughout the whole visit... sorry about that, Daddy! I am ashamed to admit that I don't have more pictures, but I'm just a really bad photojournalist. I DO have more pictures of the previous week (some of you may know) but they are classified and will appear at a later date.

Brooklyn & Carson should be chubby cheek buddies. :) I haven't seen an updated picture of her in a while & she's grown so much! Her eyes look blue... am I right?
How can "Little Arvid" not like Grandpa Arvid? Is it the bald head? I thought kids like shiny things! Maybe it's the hairy arms. I didn't like overly hairy men when I was little. They still creep me out a bit to this day.

HA HA! Natalie you crack me up. Yeah Kate SHOULD like the cookie cutter template she was modeled after! And the shiny head ought to help. But maybe it is intimidating...

And yes, as for Brooklyn - I have produced yet another blue-eyed child. I really thought at first they might turn brown, but I was wrong. That means all three cousins on my side will be blue-eyed girls! Go figure. She and Carson were made for each other, I think! Now we have a double shot, if Kate & Logan don't work out together...

Ha ha! Natalie, loved the comment about the shiny head, made me laugh real hard. Hooray for bald blue eyed girls! Ok, so I don't know for sure if mine will be bald, guess we'll see in a week or so.
