When Kate throws a baseball, she first holds it at eye level and then sort of pushes it forward using her forearm. She combines this action with a sort of skip-hop where her foot kicks up behind her like a pony, or like a little cheer-leading move, or, well, like a little girl.
So I was watching this and I told her,
"Kate, you throw like a girl!"
whereupon Travis immediately chimed in with,
"And she also sprayed her pink soccer ball with perfume."
Of course she did.
Where this girly-girl of all pink ruffly girlishness came from is beyond me. Needless to say she did not draw these girly charms from clumsy, awkward, unfashionably-dressed little old me.
Last week we were on a Sunday walk that at some point involved a small degree of mud. On the paved trail we were walking. Kate was in a tizzy and wondered how on earth she was going to get around the mud and what a mess and are we hiking? (She said it with about that much emphasis. Heaven forbid.)
Kate would rather play photographer.
[Travis & I played some catch too.]
And Brooklyn and Troy painted the town
Silly kiddos!
2 sweet nothings:
You are hot! Troy and Brookly look more related now that they are older. I love the closed eye look, maybe that is what makes them look related.
Ha! Love your girly-girl! I think Cami is a closet girly-girl, but since I don't even pretend to go along with it, she's just given up and goes rough-housing with Austin instead.
