Anyway, on to the party!
We're going to do this in collages to make life easier.
(Your life, not mine. Trust me on this one.)
The kids wore bandannas and made little star badges with their names.
I didn't get a proper picture of the cake, but maybe that's for the best. In case you were wondering, yes, it was as ugly as it appears. Of course!
And lastly, that is us line dancing.
I had planned a bunch of outdoor activities for the party (that is the perk of a summer birthday, after all), but unfortunately we were enjoying a balmy 105 degrees that week, so we were forced to stay indoors. I had even planned to borrow a fire pit and an acoustic guitar player so we could roast hot dogs and marshmallows and sing songs around the campfire. But no.
So here is what we did (all indoors): Played horseshoes [DISCLAIMER: I did not choose nor do I endorse Brooklyn's outfit], had piggy-back races, had wheelbarrow races, and had three-legged races. Never did any children have more fun falling on their faces repeatedly.
Also, we had an Old Western photo booth...
We printed the guests' photos and included them in the thank-you cards.
Happy Birthday, Sweet Kate!!!

Actually, I was thinking the cake was cute! ;) Either way, I'm sure it was scrumptious.
What a cute party! Looks like everyone had so much fun!
You are so fun! I loved it all especially the photo booth!
Love it. Especially love that the blanket I made one lonely day in Texas was featured. Kate makes a perfect cowgirl.
