Comic Relief

Before I launch into the real blogging catch up (which I fully plan to do), I had to document these mildly funny episodes before I forget.

*****
I talk in my sleep. I could launch into a complete history of all the hilarious things I've done while either asleep or sleep deprived [you may remember this one], but this story is not just about me. It appears that I have unfortunately passed on this fantastic trait to my second-born daughter. We first discovered Brooklyn's sleep-talking habit when we all shared a room on vacation and were frequently awakened by her bursts of random conversation, arguing, or singing. Well, two nights ago, she began screaming hysterically in the middle of the night, something about pink ponies or flying horses or the like, and I popped in and whispered loudly, "Brooklyn! Stop! We have to get ready to go to the store!" to which she violently objected by shrieking, "NOOOO!!! I don't WANT to go to the store!" It was at this point that I became fully conscious of the situation and realized where I was and what I'd just said. I have no memory of even getting out of bed or really the complete argument we'd had. I just knew it was total nonsense. I'm sure there are many excellent conversations we will have in our sleep in the future.

Overheard outside a dressing room: [A man was inside changing clothes and his wife was bringing him clothes and talking through the door.]
Woman: You have to see this t-shirt I found. It's so funny.
Man: What does it say?
W: It says, "I don't have ADHD, it's just that... oh, look! A squirrel!"
M: Where?
W: ...No... that's what the shirt says.

This last one requires some effort on your part, but Travis and I laughed for like an additional 3 days, so I have to share it. We were browsing a website for medical school info, and we came across this site - in the lower right corner is a video called "How to Interview for Medical School." Unfortunately the segment in question is 13 minutes into the video, but if you really want to see, maybe you can open it and let it load until you can scan forward to around 13 minutes. You are looking for the part where there is a guy talking about dressing professionally. You will know him because he is wearing a suit... and a stethoscope. The best part is around 13:20. Watch his segment and tell me if you didn't laugh.

That's all for now because Troy has to take a nap in here, but I have MORE coming soon! REALLY!

I love this joke! The squirrel is hilarious!!!! That makes my day. We miss you guys! Seeing your pictures of Easter reminds us of how beautiful Maryland is and how much we miss it! We need to plan a visit there and see you guys soon! Oh look! Squirrel!

Um, so I took the effort, because I could use a good laugh, and watched the video and... I don't get it. Maybe it's just that I'm sick and extra slow, but, yeah.

Loved the rest of them though. And the ADHD shirt. Great! Do you remember when we had a conversation at a sleepover at McKenzie's house in Price? Something about a flower?

Dad and I are with Erika. We both watched it separately and neither of us found anything funny. Explain please! I loved the other stories though - even the auto wexis.
