Death of a Jr. High Crush...

OHHH my goodness! One of my best friends just dedicated a post to me on her blog and I asked her if I could repost it to mine but then I didn't wait for an answer because I just loved it so much I couldn't help myself. (Sorry Nat - tell me if this is a serious privacy invasion and I'll take it down!) Plus I don't do any of my own blogging anymore anyway. Here is her letter... every word is 100% true!!! I U Natalie!!!

Dear Krista,

I thought of you today when I watched video
of our Jr. High boyfriend's wedding.
I have no idea why we weren't invited...
there must have been some mistake.

Remember when Wills had a full head of hair
and wore those button-up, collared "Prince William shirts"
we thought were so cute that we had to buy the girl equivalents to
wear ourselves so we'd somehow have a connection with our
royal crush? This magazine photo hung in your locker
and we stared at it every day:

Remember how we'd write illustrated stories about
us traveling to London to meet Prince William and he'd always
fall in love with whoever happened to be writing the story?
I still have the one you gave me for my 13th birthday.
It's a masterpiece.

Luckily, despite our teenage nerdiness
(which I like to think of as a cute nerdiness)

...we ended up
with our very own "Princes!"
Ours may not have British accents or *ahem* act very refined...
but we both found our perfect match, with whom
we can live happily ever after. :)

Thanks for the good memories, Krista!

Love,
Nat

Thanks Natalie for posting this - and Krista for reposting so I could read it. I thought of all you girls during the wedding. I'm glad you found your own princes!
