Whoa. It's nearly been a month since I've graced the good ol' blog with my presence. Instead of making a goal to post more often, I should just try to set a record to see how long I can stay away. The real reason for my absence is quite tragic. Okay, peppered with a little melodrama perhaps, but still I think you will agree. During Travis's trip to Colorado earlier this month, our camera, who was along for the ride, saw opportunity for escape and snatched it! Oh yes it trotted merrily away into oblivion, taking with it ALL of our vacation photos from California, among others. Including Troy's baby blessing, Thanksgiving, the daily photos I obsessively snap of my ever-changing newborn. Cruel, wasn't it? And, indeed, tragic.
Fortunately, before we left the sunshine state - wait no, that's Florida. The Golden State? Golden Gate? Bridge? State? What is California? - Before we left, Travis had the foresight to steal all of Katie's pictures from the duration of our visit. And since her camera is so much awesomer than ours anyway and she takes much better (and more frequent) pictures, I wasn't too sad. However, the post on that will have to wait since the pictures are on Travis's computer and he won't let me use it right now.
Meanwhile, I am adding to my list of blogging-catch-up, which will definitely come soon albeit certainly without pictures (*cough my birthday is in two weeks WINK*), and for now I will leave you with our Christmas card photo which you may or may not have received in the mail (probably not - sorry). I'm a little slow like that. Like Troy's birth announcements. Which - yes - I did mail along with the Christmas cards. Like, "P.S. we have a 3-month-old." Please don't be offended if you didn't get one (*YET*) - I think only like 4 actually made it to the mailbox. Which is a shame because my baby is super cute. If you DO want pictures in the mail to adorn your refrigerator, please feel free to send me your address in case I, erm, lost it! And, sorry to spoil the surprise by posting the card here. I'll probably end up emailing it anyway. We are a big fan of "New Year's" cards rather than "Christmas" ones.

Our quote board for the day:
We're watching Beauty and the Beast with Cami and the 'Tale as Old as Time' song comes on and Sterling says that he always fantasized about dancing with the love of his life to this song.
Erika: This song doesn't really fit honey, because you're no beast.
Sterling: Yeah, I guess it doesn't, cuz you're no beauty.
Kate is looking tall! I love her little bangs!!!
What a cute family! That totally stinks that you lost your camera! Hopefully your birthday wishes come true!
