That sums up the week we spent indoors. I pretty much stared blankly the whole time and reasoned that if I DID go crazy, the asylum workers probably couldn't get to me through the snow and maybe I'd have some time to put myself back together before they came to take me away. Yes friends, that is the best I can do to deal with such a crisis as the WHOLE WORLD shutting down when it snows. I really rose to the occasion. My girls played with (and surely ate) a lot of play-doh, wore every skirt they own, and did not comb their hair for a week. Clearly I am built for summertime only.
THE PARADE OF EVENTS: (if you can call them that)
The trees in our backyard after Phase I
(I didn't venture out front so I only have photos from the windows -
too bad because the parking lot was amazing.)
Balcony with the unidentified stuff we left out there...
Here are the Burnetts trekking through the path Travis forged, coming to see us! It's even deeper than it looks. Shauna's just really tall. Okay fine we're all just really short.
I forged a path of my own. Travis pointed out later that it had the misfortune of looking a little like I was trying to make a swastika.
I assure you I wasn't.We painted our nails (drying them by the heater)
And, Brooklyn took plenty of rides in the laundry basket, thanks to her personal chauffeur, Kate.
The End.
