Christmas in 300 words or fewer

(I hate playing catch-up with journaling, etc. - this counts too - so I'm trying to make this as painless as possible.)

HIGHLIGHTS:
*Seeing ALL of our family (except my brother David who is on his mission)
*Seeing MOST of my high school crew and all the kids!
*Brooklyn learned to crawl
*Brooklyn demonstrated said crawling by eating such things as clothing tags, cardboard, tinsel, wood, plastic, and a Christmas ornament.
*I learned how to test for lead paint on Christmas ornaments
*I got lots of practice for my rusty Heimlich-on-infant skills
*Travis learned to ski and snowboard
*He also learned the average response time of the ski patrol in a rescue situation
*Lots of beautiful Utah SNOW
*A New Year's Eve party that ROCKED (and I'm still sore from boxing AND still trying to shed those extra 5 lbs. from overeating)
*Travis's parents playing DDR at the New Year's party that rocked
*Seeing our old pals the Gertschs! Man we miss you guys!
*The traditional annual gingerbread-man-decorating party (more on this later)
*Taking Kate to Jumping Jacks and teaching her to be rowdy
*Travis took me ice skating - he recreated our first date, including the treats!
*Kate attended her first grown-up (well, 6-year-old) birthday party, for her cousin Chloe. They all had their hair, nails, and make-up done, and they looked like little princesses!
*Kate also got her first *REAL* haircut, courtesy of Christina. When I learn to style it better you will see the full effect.
*The family Christmas party where I stunned everyone with my awesome basketball skills (use your imagination here)
*My new haircut too (yes courtesty of Christina again)
*BYU basketball game with Travis's pals
*The girls' rendition of the Nutcracker
*Ryan's Eagle court of honor
*A LOOOOONG break from the computer, which I obviously enjoyed so much that I've only just now come back, dragging my feet.

We sure miss everyone but we're so glad we got to spend so much time (a whopping 3 weeks) for Christmas! Now it's back to the salt mines.
