First off, this is my new niece:

So she was blessed on Aug. 3, and I decided to copy Kate's blessing gown (which she & Brooklyn both wore) for their little cousin Cami. Later I will hopefully add a picture of the original dress, which is a little different. I was so proud that it didn't wind up looking like a misshapen pillowcase that I thought I'd conceitedly post pictures. Oh yeah, even that headband is handmade! (Come on, I'm working with no sewing skills and no pattern here - you have to admit this is a little bit awesome.)
Oh yeah, and Brooklyn was kind enough to act as a head model for me, to make sure that the headband would actually fit a baby's head.

How cute! I am impressed! I don't think I've actually seen a blessing dress or a headband up close...my boys like to stay away from those things! Good job!
YOU MADE THAT?? I am totally impressed!!!
Amazing!! I had heard about the dress...and now that I've seen it, I'm even more impressed. You are incredible! What a cute picture of Brooklyn showing off the headband. Oh, and congrats on becoming a "real" aunt!
I'm in the same boat as Nat... I have no idea what it would be like to own, let alone make (I don't think that's possible for me, unless you count watching my mom sew)a girlie item.
Brooklyn is SO CUTE! I swear, she's the girl version of Carson with those cheeks & over-all shape!
Wow, that's awesome that you MADE that dress. I especially love the sleeves. Oh, la la!
No, I am NOT ashamed of your skills, she even wore it to get blessed in. Go check my blog, I finally updated it. More coming once I get help from you on formatting everything.
Thats AMAZING! I dont ever want to hear you complain EVER again that your bad at anything! Sheesh krista! Thats really pretty!!! Lexi wants one! haha!
