A Tree Grows for Brooklyn
This is a little tiny pine tree Travis rescued from outside our apartment. It had sprouted up on its own but was facing imminent destruction as it lay in the path of the mower. Travis heroically saved it from impending doom and transplanted it into a pot on our balcony, in Brooklyn's name since she had just been born. (Really I don't know what she has to do with the tree, but it was planted for her.)

3 sweet nothings:
I actually spotted the little sapling as I was carrying Brooklyn from the car to our apartment from the hospital. When I saw it I thought I should plant it for Brooklyn since it is just as old as her (it was in the flower bed next to the foundation of the apartment building so it would have been pulled but I like Krista's story more).
That's a cool picture. It looks like the pot is hovering in mid-air.
Remeber to take a picture of the tree next year (if it's still around). It will be cool to compare Brooklyn's growth with the tree!
