Our newest little princess is one week old today!!! I can't believe it - my, how kids grow up so quickly these days.
So my friend Laura came over today to practice her masterful photography skills on Brooklyn. Luckily we caught her in a good mood and Laura took some awesome pictures! Here is just a sampling. (Thank you Laura! We love these!!!)
(Um ignore my whiteness. It is not summer yet.)

I love the pics! Great job, Krista's friend, Laura! :)
Brooklyn is adorable.
Krista, I had so much fun taking her pictures, as I keep saying!! Now you need to show off some of the edited ones. I love how the B&Ws turned out. :) Brooklyn's such a sweet baby.
So you think you can just steel our blog background eh? Just kidding! I like it, it looks great. The pictures of Brooklynn are great. I love the 2nd one with her mouth open, what a cute little girl! Is it fun having two girls?
CONGRATS YOU GUYS!!! We are so happy for you and she is just adorable! I absolutely love the newborn pictures. How precious! And Krista, I totally loved that you were touching up your makeup right before delivery. I did the exact same thing! Brian thought I was crazy but I didn't want to look ugly in all the pictures either! It made me smile to read that you did the same thing! :) Wow, we must be friends or something!
Well it took me awhile to figure out this newfangled blogging thing...(sure, go ahead and roll your eyes), but I finally got to this comment part so I can say CONGRATULATIONS! She's beautiful and rivals only Krista in full make-up. Can't wait to see her, Kate, and of course the folks. The whole story and pictures make me smile, laugh, sigh, and get a bit teary-eyed. Lots of Love - Karla, Todd, Sara, Sam.
Brooklyn is so beautiful!!!! These pictures are seriously AMAZING- Laura really did do an awesome job!!! I hate to break it to you, but today was in the 80's!!! Summer is HERE!!! Now we just gotta get them to open the pool! I guess it's probably better for you (and Brooklyn) that the pool isn't open. Give her a couple of months though and she'll be ready to join in on the fun!!! :) I'll be calling you later about stopping by with some dinner on Sunday- so be thinking of what you want!!! Until then, go get some sleep!!! :)
She is adorable...oh so sweet!! Does Kate love her??
talk about a quick recovery!!! brooklyn is absolutely gorgeous! i swear i would just keep quiet if i didn't really think so. my mother took some pictures of adne when she was at least three weeks old and she still looked slightly traumatized. also, i like your "white" skin; it looks really classy and it's almost the exact same shade as my mother's (which makes me feel all sorts of sentimental, sigh).
Shes so cute Krista! Laura did an amazing job!!!
So Trav, where's this video of Kate playing with her new baby sister? I want to see it!! Aw, to have two little girls. Give me another few years and I think we could get there too.
Hi everyone, I’m one of the proud grandmothers! Think what you will, but I was actually in the air flying to Germany (with “Grandpa”) when Brooklyn was delivered. Immediately after getting off the plane, we called and got the news. We are SOOO happy for you both, Krista and Travis! And I love all the pictures.
The one of a very pregnant Krista – with the white shirt and the tape measure is wonderful. You don’t look that big. Surprising. The makeup session and cell phone pictures are great1 (I totally understand the makeup. Looking back at the pictures of me immediately postpartum make me cringe.) And of course I love the ones with Brooklyn!!! Thanks for putting the new pics up. They are fabulous. Laura did a great job!
Brooklyn really is a beautiful baby. She doesn’t look the same as Kate to me, but has the same face shape. By the way, for everyone’s information, both girls get those chubby cheeks from their mom. That was the comment we heard most from people upon seeing Krista as a baby. (With the incredibly long fingers being the second comment.) I can’t wait to see Brooklyn and Kate. I wonder how similar they will look when Kate is almost 2 years old and Brooklyn is 2 months. I’m so excited. That’s the worst thing about living so far away – I want to see EVERY stage of their young lives.
Congratulations and keep the pictures coming. (We’re home from Germany now and I’ll call soon – I am excited to talk to you!)
Love you all,
Mom (Kelly)

I don't keep it up much, though.
She is such a cute little thing! We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our little guy and every time I see Brooklyn I get excited.
I LOVE HER! SHES SO SWEET! Awww... can i have her?
