That's right, folks, prepare to be amazed.... You are about to witness THE END OF THE MULLET!!! Yep, Travis and I finally took a pair of scissors to those little curls on Kate's neck that made her look like a smoker from the 80s. All she needed was a mesh ball cap and a "sexy 'stache" (if you haven't seen the Divine Comedy video yet, make sure you check it out. Particularly if you ever attended BYU.) Anyway. We decided to part with the famous mullet. Travis did most of the cutting because I was too scared. She actually sat still and was very cooperative for her first hair cut! Now she just looks like a boy... but at least a regular boy rather than an outdated biker... At least we can still dress her in pink. I had tried every hairstyle imaginable - a ponytail made the look even worse, pigtails wouldn't stay put (she could reach the low ones & pulled them out), and she still doesn't have enough hair on top for the cute little fountain ponies you can put on babies. I guess we'll just wait for it all to grow in!
(The first two pictures are mid-haircut; the last one is the final result)

NOT THE MULLET! hahahaha. I laughed so hard when I read this! Kate's new hair cut is cute. She does not look like a boy at all- her face & beautiful eyes are very feminine! Besides, her new hair-do is just in time for spring. :)
Ah, a new hairstyle. Just what every girl needs to feel feminine for spring.
I LOVED the Divine Comedy video! I can't wait to show it to Todd!
Cute hair cut!
Angie! Wow I'm excited to see you guys here! We miss you! Todd may be alarmed to see that I'm still giving out free haircuts...
I was just talking about the mullet-dilemma with my sister (her 19-mo-old has one, too! LOL) Kate's new cut looks cute!
What a good job you guys did!!!! I am SO bummed that I didn't get to see Kate today. I saw you guys walk in, but I was a little distracted with your "other" baby! I was admiring your cute pregnant belly and totally missed Kate's new do! It seriously looks really cute though!! GOOD WORK! :)
Todd LOVED the Divine Comedy video! He was singing the song for the next hour. And he says he doesn't blame you for the haircut - apparently the blade was dull. Don't stress! ;)
I'm applauding for you...way to go!! You'll be glad you did it. Mullets are not cute. I am sooooooooo proud of you, I'm sure it was hard, but it will grow in so much thicker once you cut it.
Um she still looks like a GIRL to me!!! I love it Krista! WAY TO GO!!! I bet you can still do piggy tails! It looks so good!!!
